I like to say I've been in the comics business my entire life. While it's true this is the first comic I've written, I've been buying them for almost 40 years. I picked up my first G.I. Joe when I was 7 from the spinner rack of the corner Circle K and my love for the medium has only grown. Those early G.I. Joe comics likely influenced my decision to join the military, which I did at 18 and served in the Air Force for the next 23 years.

In my post military life, I have many goals. The top goal is to publish my own series of comics. That's where Mercer comes in. I've had the idea for Mercer for a while and have developed the character over time, but wasn't able to realize my dream, because I can't draw! Thanks to the fantastic pencils of Rafael Ter-Stepanov and the colors of Rufai Jimoh, Mercer is coming to life on the page!
